Temple Highlights

This temple is situated at Panamakanahalli Village in Malur Taluk, Kolar District of Karnataka.  The temple is at a distance of about 2 KM from Kondashettihalli Bus Stand and about 3 KM from Tekal Railway Station. Plenty of Auto’s are available from both Bus Stand as well as Railway Station to come to the Temple.

The Temple Bhoomi Pooja was performed in the holy month of Kartika Masa on 23rd November 1989.  

The Temple was inaugurated on 26th May 1993 by Sri.Puttanna of Saipadananda Satsanga, Bangalore and holy Idol of Sri Shirdi Saibaba was installed with all religious fervor in the presence of thousands of Sai Devotees.

The temple is present in a vast area of about 6 Acres of land. The premises of the Mandir are very holy as the soil brought from Shirdi is spread at this place. Whoever steps at this place are purified and sanctified and they get the same feelings and vibrations as one gets when they walk in Shirdi.  

This temple was founded by a staunch Shirdi Saibaba Devotee Sri.P.S.Govindan  who is also the founder President of the Temple. He is taking care of the overall development and improvement of the temple.

Black Stone Idol of Ganesha and Subramanya are installed at the entrance of the Sanctum Sanctorum on either side.

Beautiful Black Stone Idol of Saibaba about 2 Feet is present inside the Sanctum Sanctorum. A Lamp is placed above the Idol of Saibaba and a specially designed round shaped mirror is placed behind the lamp which is reflecting the “Akhanda Jyothi” behind Baba Idol in an elegant manner and is a treat to watch.

“Dwarakamai” building has come into existence in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum is very holy. Here The Sacred “Dhuni Fire” brought from the “Dhuni” of Shirdi was installed on 25th November 1996 and is continuously lit. Whoever is receiving this Vibhuti (Holy Ash or Udi) are getting Physical and Mental solace.

A “Homa Kunda” or “Havan Sthal” is present in Dwarakamai and an ever burning Lantern is placed in the centre of the Homa Kunda. Silver Padukas are placed in front of the Homa Kunda.

Another Small Black Stone Idol of Saibaba is placed in a Mantap present inside Dwarakamai.

A Photograph of Lord Satyanarayana Swamy is placed in a Mantap inside the Dwarakamai.

The articles used to bring the Sacred Fire from Shirdi Dhuni Maa are kept in corner place of Dwarakamai. Photographs of the people along with the details of the event are hung on the wall near the Articles.

Photographs of “Saibaba appearing in Homam” performed in the year 2005 during the Nagadevata and Dattatreya Idol installation by a Sai Devotee from Bangalore Shri.P.N.Vishwanathan is hung on the side walls of Dwarakamai.The story of the incident is very interesting. After the completion of the Homam the films were not washed at all for two years. Suddenly in the year 2007 Shri.Vishwanathan remembered and got the films washed and to everybody’s surprise this special photograph of “Saibaba appearing in Homam” emerged.

Black Stone Idols of Ganesha, Saraswathi & Lakshmi are present at the entrance of the Mandir.

Nanda Deep is prominently placed under the Pupil Tree outside the Mandir.

Black Stone Idols of Dattatreya, Hanuman and Naga Devathas are present next to the Nanda Deep.

Black Stone Idols of Navagrahas are present outside the temple were inaugurated on 1st October 1998.

Meditation Hall is present in a place opposite to Saibaba Mandir. Here the devotees can meditate peacefully without any disturbance. At this divine and holy place Sri Satyanarayana Pooja is being performed on every full moon day on a regular basis.

As per the inspiration, orders and guidance of Lord Saibaba, a Goshala ( a shelter for Cows) not only to give shelter to the aged, orphaned cows to prevent slaughter but also to preserve and protect the native breeds of cows which are on the edge of extinct is present in a place about 100 meters from the Mandir. This was inaugurated on 6th March 2009. 9 Cows are present here and the milk derived from them is used for Daily Abhishekam and for treating the Guests.

The inspiration for starting the Goshala in the Temple premises also came to Sri.P.S.Govindan from his holiness Saipadananda Shri.Radhakrishna Swamiji, disciple of his holiness Sri.Narasimha Swamiji who was instrumental in spreading the life and teachings of Shirdi Saibaba in South India.

For Distribution of Prasadam, “Sri Sai Prasada Nilaya” has been constructed opposite to the Saibaba Mandir.

A Mangala Karyalaya is present opposite to the Goshala and is given to devotees for performing auspicious occasions like Marriages at a very subsidized rate. This was also inaugurated on 6th March 2009 on the day Goshala got inaugurated.

A Sacred Bilva Tree next to Nagara Hutta (Ant Hill) is present outside Goshala & Mangal Karyalaya. A Homa Kunda is present near the Sacred Bilva Tree.

Special Events:

  • Sai Taraka Nama Japa “OM SAI SRI SAI JAYA JAYA SAI”  is performed for 6 hours every month and for 24 hours once in a year with pomp and glory to Saibaba. Large numbers of devotees participate in these events with great devotion. 

  • Satyanarayana Pooja is performed on every full moon day at 9 AM in the morning. There is no Seva Amount.

  • Shashwata Pooja is performed in the Temple on payment of Rs.101/- and above.
